This product is formulated using a patent-pending, two-stage, timed-release concept. Half of the Vitamin C is rapidly released and the remainin Vitamin C is gradually released over a 12-hour period. Taking one capsule in the morning and another 12 hours later helps to extend the availability of Vitamin C to the body over a 24-hour period. This produt also contains Calcium Carbonate and Magnesium Oxide to buffer the natural acidty of Vitamin C.
