Made me violently ill for about 20 minutes
I have read a lot about maca root. Supposedly raw is bad for your digestive system, gelatinized is good. I accidentally ordered raw off the internet and it gave me intense stomach cramps for about 20 minutes. Then it passed and I was fine but that experience was enough to get me to find some gelatinized capsules. Enter: herb pharm gelatinized capsules on sale at my local Pharmaca. The first couple of days I was fine. Then, on the third day I had a similar experience as when I took the raw maca root only it was way worse. This time, i had pain in my shoulder/neck as well as my stomach. Next thing I know I am bent over a trash can in my office at work dry heaving. It was horrible. Then as soon as it came, it left and I was fine. Still, that was enough for me to not take this stuff ever again. Too bad as I have read such wonderful things about it.
