Certified organic from our Fair Trade project in Burkina Faso, Africa. Shea butter is obtained from the nut kernels of the Shea tree - a tree belonging to the Sapotaceae family. Rich in saturated and unsaturated fatty acids as well as carotene it is valued as a food source of fat in its central African home. Known as "Karite", it is highly valued in the cosmetic industry as a soothing moisturizer and emollient for the skin. Shea Butter protects skin against drying, soothes irritations and helps support skin elasticity.

great for dry skin
i use this product once a week and it very much helps with dryness. I actually chose this mask over suki's moisturizing one because theirs contained alcohol. dr. hauschka's ingredients seemed more natural and effective.

I got a sample at a store and just purchased the item. It can be used as a protecting day care product as well. It is just so replenishing especially in dry climate.
