Sourdough bread made of freshly milled oats, wheat and rye is subjected to a fermentation process, in which naturally occurring lactic acid probiotics transform the bread into a highly nutritive substance. The liquid portion resulting from this process is called Brottrunk which literally means "bread drink" and is a traditional European health drink. The fermented grain extract used in the Dr.Hauschka Cleansing Milk is derived from Brottrunk and is rich in proteins, calcium, iron, vitamins B1, B2, B3, B6, B12, E, and co-enzyme A.

cleanses and nourishes
this cleanser takes off sun screen, as well as daily build up from activities, and also makes my skin feel soft and nourished

OK for sensitive skin
I've only used it twice and I already like it. It smells nice and clean, and the milky texture is not creamy but more runny. I bought this because I had sensitive skin and I wanted something that could remove my water proof foundation, and I used it with my Clarisonic. It worked well but with the Clarisonic, it required more product (normally you might need 2 pumps but with Clarisonic, you might need 4 or 5).
Your face will feel refreshed and moisturized after use. It is good enough to use both in the summer and winter. Dr Hauschka is such a classic and wonderful line!

cleans and moisturizes
I use the cleansing milk the last step in my shower. By then my face has benefited from the steam. This cleansing milk not only removes my makeup--even eyeliner--but leaves my face feeling moist, soft and clean. I love it. My sister had been using it for years and thought I would try it. Glad I did.

TOP-NOTCH UNBEATABLE FACIAL CLEANSER
Is this the best facial cleanser on the planet for those of us with highly sensitive skin -- regardless of skin type (dry, combo, oily...). I am combination-to-oily at 50 years of age. I am ecstatic about many attributes of this cleanser. This is a liquid-cream cleanser that does not foam or suds up. It is applied to a damp face and massaged in with light upward strokes. It is rinsed off with water for removal. If you wear makeup you will want to repeat the process (a very little of this product goes a very long way -- so the bottle should last you quite a while even with the "double cleanse" when one is cleansing the face with makeup on it. This is extraordinarily gentle yet powerfully cleansing and is not skin-stripping yet does have this fabulous "toning" quality to it. My skin feels ever-soft yet toned after using this cleanser. This is the only creamy facial cleansing formula I have ever been able to use which does not - and I mean not at all - cause me to break out with either a rash or with actual pimples. I shall never have need of any other cleanser but this unbeatable treasure known as Dr. Hauschka Cleansing Milk.
