    Almond meal is a blend of whole ground almonds, including the shell and nut, obtained when sweet almonds are pressed to obtain almond oil. The meal mixes readily with water to form a natural emulsion that is highly absorbent of water and oil. In the Cleansing Cream it binds and removes oils, dirt particles and perspiration from the skin. The soothing, calming properties of almond make it gentle enough for even the most sensitive skin.

    This is not a foaming cleanser so if that's what you really need then you'll have to look elsewhere. This is however the best exfoliating cleanser I've ever used. I started about 2 years ago and have seen amazing improvements with my skin. I couldn't be happier! It leaves a nice suppleness to the skin and isn't in any way too harsh. I always had a dry tight feeling with other cleansers but this is just perfect! Love, love, love it. Like someone else said, it won't remove your makeup so you'll need to use their cleansing milk for that. I like to alternate with the two sometimes. Both are great buys.

    This product is amazing a month ago I started using the Dr. Hauschka line and my 25 year old acne has improved significantly! I use the lavender bath, cleansing cream, clarifying toner, daily moisturizing cream, and normalizing oil. I am so impressed with all these products! My skin is never over dried and I there is NO harsh chemical feeling.

    Cleans well
    The exfoliant particles are fine so they don't hurt my skin as much as some of the larger particle-d scrubs might. Seems to clean well.

    All time favorite
    I love everything about this product; it's effective, gentle, smells great and makes me look forward to the ritual of washing my face. It is not made for removing makeup, but as long as you have something for that first step (like this company's Cleansing Milk), this is the best exfoliate on the market.
