About Natural Fitness

Natural Fitness was born with the goal of providing better alternatives to low-quality, environmentally harmful fitness products in yoga and Pilates studios, fitness centers and homes. The founders decided that there had to be a better way, something more in line with the concepts of personal wellness and self improvement.

One of Natural Fitness' most important goals is to offset the impact on the environment that results from the manufacturing and distribution of their products. To achieve this, Natural Fitness created a Zero Impact Program (ZIP), including:

Planting trees. For every product they sell, their Plant-A-Tree initiative funds the planting of a tree in areas of the world that can benefit most. The trees moderate climate, improve air quality, conserve water and harbor wildlife. Carbon emissions experts report that a single tree can remove up to 2,000 pounds of pollution from our atmosphere.

Talking the talk. Natural Fitness partners with like-minded companies to raise public awareness about environmental problems created through the use of fossil fuels and other non-sustainable practices. They do this through memberships in organizations such as the Chicago Sustainable Business Alliance and involvement in programs that promote eco-products and lifestyles such as the Chicago Green Festival.

Walking the walk. Natural Fitness uses recycled content paper in all product packaging, color inserts and business/office stationery and supplies. Natural Fitness has also spearheaded an ambitious recycling program for their 500,000-square-foot office building in which more than 60 companies operate.
