Also known as 'rose hydrosol', it is derived from the condensed steam produced during distillation of rose essential oil. The oily component is the essential oil and the watery portion is the rose distillate. Rose distillate is rich in water-soluble compounds beneficial for skin, particularly for soothing sensitive skin as they help harmonize and balance skin.

Perfect for sensitive skin!
After discovering Dr. Hauschka's regular rose day cream, I was 100% pleased, however I found that the regular formulation was a bit much for summer. That's when I decided to try the Rose day cream LIGHT which became the perfect addition to my skincare routine. These two rose creams from Dr. Hauschka are a dream on sensitive skin and because one is lighter than the other, they compliment each other perfectly so you have your year-round skin care routine all taken care of! Can't live without
This moisturizer is a must-have. It moisturizes deeply, but without any greasy feel, and it doesn't break me out! The texture is creamy, not oily, and the fragrance is light and soft. Whatever I can or can't afford, I always maintain a budget to keep Rose Day Cream Light in stock!

Lightweight and great for sensitive skin
I love that this day cream is light and soaks in right away. It keeps my face soft, smooth and moisturized.

Effective in toning down rosacea redness
I was recommended by family to try Rose Day Cream Light when prescription MetroGel had no effect. For my oily skin, this moisturizer soaks in and dries down soft and matte. I use this one on my red patches and an oil control product in areas without irritation. This combination, in just a few days, has proven very soothing to my inflamed skin.
