Marula is a uniquely African fruit rich in vitamin C. When sun-ripe, the intoxicating sweet butter pecan like aroma can be smelled for miles around. Cold pressed from the fruit kernels, marula oil is one of the most anti-oxidant rich oils in the world. Infused into a dreamy combination of two organic shea butters, this anti-aging butter heals and repairs skin as it provides hours of protection and skin softening.

East meets West in this creamy combo. West African shea butter is known to be waxy and often difficult to spread. East African Shea Nilotica can sometimes be too soft. But combined the two work form a melodious butter perfect for spreading and combining the best healing, anti-aging properties of both.

The Shea Nilotica used in this product benefits the women of the Otuwe Shea Butter Project of Uganda. Many of these women were once held captive by the rebel army of the north, facing torture and possible slaying as they witnessed many of their family members and friends being killed. These women are able to live healthy independent lives by the sales of their shea butter. Thanks to your support they now can afford healthcare, food and education for their children.

About Shea Terra Organics

Not only do Shea Terra Organics' skin care treatments assist in preservation, they are also the backbone of economic sustainability for many hardworking families across the continent. Since early 2000, Shea Terra Organics has worked closely with cooperatives and conservation groups to introduce Africa's time-tested ingredients to the world.

Shea Terra Organics was the vision of Tammie's quest to create markets for natural products from third world countries, which would help alleviate poverty while preserving diminishing habitats. Sufferers of skin ailments across the world sought out Tammie's therapeutic grade shea butter products because they were amazingly affordable at a time when shea butter was sold at hundreds of dollars per pound.

Realizing the immense impact that a single ingredient like shea butter could have on the world, Tammie Umbel began seeking out other rare and indigenous ingredients that could enhance or compliment the benefits of shea butter. Working closely with cooperatives, scientists, conservationists and non-profits, Tammie actively seeks out ingredients little known outside of remote parts of Africa. Not only are these time-tested ingredients highly therapeutic, they also bring income and awareness to preserve natural habitats, which would otherwise be destroyed. Shea Terra Organics was thus rebranded in a quest to reveal Africa's ancient skin care therapies -- in time to preserve them before they are lost forever.

Use daily. Massage into skin from head to toe. Use a spoon in hot bath for a skin softening bath treat.
USDA Certified Organic shea butter (butyrospermum parkii), CERES Certified Organic shea butter (vitellaria nilotica), marula oil (sclerocarya birrea), all natural vitamin E, all natural fruit extract.

The real deal.
Don't settle for products that have shea butter in them when you can have the real thing for almost the same price. This has a wonderful sweet nutty smell and rubs on easily. Buy the shea butters that have a mix of half east and half west and an added scent. After a week's use cold weather dryness and cracks are gone. I wish it came in a bigger bottle.
