Kim J Kim Jacoby, Pharm.D., CGP, CPCC, Pharmacy Manager
Kim received her Doctorate of Pharmacy at Idaho State University. She has lived in the Bay Area for nine years with a brief stint in New York City and an amazing year of world travels. With more than 10 years of experience, she has seen the many faces of pharmacy: an inpatient hospital setting at John Muir Medical Center; an integrative community setting at Elephant Pharmacy; and as a consultant for Skilled Nursing Facilities in NYC. Her expertise is in Medication Therapy Management (MTM) and Geriatrics. Kim has also obtained certifications as a Life Coach (2009) and as a board-certified Geriatric Pharmacist (2007). She is passionate about helping people on their journeys of wellness and fulfillment. 

Anne W., R.Ph., B.S. Pharmacy
Anne received her pharmacy degree from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. She worked for many years in hospital pharmacies in Iowa and California including as a pharmacy manager. She also worked for a large pharmaceutical company in the Midwest. For the past few years she has worked as an integrative pharmacist and was trained in prescription compounding at Professional Compounding Center of America (PCCA). She was also certified in the Grief and Loss Program at the University of California, Berkeley, and is now a student at the California School of Herbal Studies.


Peter B., Council for Homeopathic Certification (C.H.C.), Homeopath
Following his initial training with the International Foundation for Homeopathy, Peter has been practicing homeopathy since 1984. He has studied with some of the leading teachers of the modern revival of homeopathy. His parents began their homepathy practice before he started his. Peter has a background in anatomy and biochemistry, and a strong interest in whole food nutrition.


Daria A., L.Ac., Dipl. O.M. (NCCAOM)
Daria graduated with a master's degree in traditional Chinese medicine in 2006 from Five Branches Institute in Santa Cruz, Calif. She is both nationally certified and state licensed as an acupuncturist. Since 2006, she has been participating in continuing education courses on nutritional and supplemental therapy, aromatherapy, women's health issues and Western herbology. She has been enjoying helping Pharmaca customers find what they need to optimize their health since 2009.

Carol D

Carol D., Herbalist
Carol moved to London from Ireland to study complementary therapies in 2002, where she holds several higher diplomas in nutrition and a science degree in medical herbalism. She teaches nutrition at Kitchen On Fire in Berkeley and has a practice in which she provides individual nutrition and herbal consultations. Carol believes in using nutrition and herbal medicine as prevention, and integrative medicine when needed. She has a special interest in women’s skin care and digestive health.

Sara E

Sara E., Certified Nutrition Consultant, Assistant Manager
Sara is a nutrition consultant and educator with a degree from Bauman College. She brings her enthusiasm and energy for whole food nutrition to the floor at Pharmaca. She also received her B.S. in Exercise Science from Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, NY. Since making the move from east coast to west, Sara seeks to weave a wellness community to support people in achieving their optimal health. Aside from working with her team at Pharmaca and hosting nutrition consultations, you can find her climbing rocks, cooking soup or fermenting cabbage into sauerkraut!


Kathryn F., Esthetician
Kathryn is a licensed esthetician with 10 years experience in resort spas and cutting-edge skin care studios and is continually educating herself on the latest in the industry. She specializes in both organic and dermaceutical-based skincare, makeup and treatment. She is also certified in Ayurvedic medicine, focusing on nutrition, herbal remedies and lifestyle techniques to help individuals achieve and maintain vibrant healthy skin. Her approach to great skin emphasizes the connection between quality products and healthy living.

Kathleen L., I.E., C.A., Esthetician
Kathleen comes to Pharmaca with 20 years of experience as a holistic esthetician with certifications in aromatherapy and facial acupressure. Kathleen became a California licensed esthetician after attending the Lu Ross School of Cosmetology. She then received her aromatherapy certification from the Pacific Institute of Aromatherapy, and took numerous post-graduate classes from the International Dermal Institute. Kathleen owned her own holistic skin care business for 12 years and has also taught post-graduate classes on aromatherapy, reflexology and facial acupressure to estheticians.
