Matthew is an experienced herbalist with expertise in both Chinese and Western medicine. For many years, he was on the core faculty of the Rocky Mountain Center for Botanical Studies where he specialized in the instruction of herbal therapeutics. Matthew has also taught hundreds of classes on all aspects of natural medicine and nutrition.

Brigitte has been working with natural medicine for more than 37 years. She teaches at Naropa University, Boulder College of Massage, Bauman College of Nutrition, Omega Institute and Esalen. She has authored 12 books including Rawsome!, The Desktop Guide to Herbal Medicine, Addiction Free Naturally and Healing Herbal Teas. Her weekly radio show is called “Naturally” and she’s been featured on NBC Dateline.

Buffy has worked as a professional herbalist and fertility educator for over a decade. She studied under herbal pioneer Michael Moore at the Southwest School of Botanical Medicine, and with leading American herbalists Daniel Gagnon and Matthew Woods. Buffy taught herbal materia medica and pharmacy courses for NNMC in New Mexico. She also teaches yoga as a means of bringing wholeness to health.

Catrina is a certified Holistic Health Counselor, accredited by the American Association of Drugless Practitioners and a graduate of the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in New York City. She has been studying complementary and alternative health and healing since 1996. As a health coach, Catrina creates highly personalized wellness programs to help clients to find balance, lose weight, prevent illness and heal with food. She also enjoys learning and teaching yoga of the body, breath, and mind with the Art of Living Foundation and leads stress and trauma relief workshops.

Karena has worked in the holistic health field for almost 10 years and is a Certified Herbalist, medicine maker, nutritionist, yogi and Reiki practitioner. Karena began her official journey into herbalism in 2005 at the Southwest Institute of Healing Arts in Arizona. Since then she has completed various internships and apprenticeships while traveling around the country and abroad finding inspiration in the natural world. Her self-study of herbs began much earlier after questioning the limitations of Western medicine and knowing in her heart that there were alternative paths. Karena always has a plan in the works for future adventures, but her current joy comes from helping people empower themselves by improving their health, being surrounded by the amazing Colorado mountains and calling Boulder her home.
