Sara M., Pharm.D, Pharmacy Manager
Originally from Chicago, Sara received her Doctorate of Pharmacy from Midwestern University in Downers Grove, Ill. She brings six years of independent pharmacy experience to Pharmaca, and enjoys the small town atmosphere and getting to know her patients. She has an interest in alternative medicine and loves the idea of integrative wellness.

Linh T., Pharm.D.
Linh received her Doctorate of Pharmacy from the University of the Pacific School of Pharmacy in Stockton, Calif. As a long-term local resident, she brings more than 19 years of retail/community pharmacy experience to Pharmaca. She is a strong advocate of the integrative method for maintaining health and wellness, and a holistic approach to the prevention and treatment of ailments has always been her passion.

Eric B., Store Manager, Nutritionist
Eric earned his B.S. is Business Administration from Aspen University and brings more than 13 years of experience in the natural products industry to Pharmaca. He is a Kenpo Karate practitioner and certified in personal training and nutrition by the International Sports Sciences Association. Eric specializes in applied nutrition for fitness and athletic performance with a focus on whole foods and evidence-based nutraceuticals. He is excited to share his passion and knowledge of healthy lifestyles and dietary supplements with the Carlsbad community.

Lisa H., Acupuncturist (L.Ac), Lead Practitioner
Lisa holds a B.S. in psychology from the University of Washington and a Masters degree in Traditional Oriental Medicine from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine. Her training includes studies in Eastern herbs, Western herbs, Ayurvedic medicine, homeopath, and nutritional supplements. As a licensed acupuncturist, Lisa enjoys using a combination of Eastern and Western medicine to help people achieve their health goals. She has a special interest in women's health, geriatric health and chronic pain conditions.

Nancy B., Certified Herbalist
Nancy is a clinically certified herbalist and aromatherapist with more than 25 years in the holistic health industry. She is also a student of Ayurveda and nutrition, being a long time proponent of the Slow Food movement. Her interests include women's health, children's health and cardiovascular health. Nancy owns her own aromatherapy company and has formulated a therapeutic line of essential oil products which is sold across the country.

Shana L, CCH and Health Educator
Shana is a clinically certified herbalist and health educator who has been working with plant medicine and nutrition for 15 years. She has written and teaches numerous classes in San Diego and Orange County on herbal medicine, nutrition and healthy cooking. She completed four herbal apprenticeship study programs throughout the west, including the Columbines School of Botanical Studies in Oregon and Michael Moore’s Southwest School of Botanical Medicine. Shana loves going for hikes and studying ecology as well as offering plant walks, teaching about local, native and medicinal plants. She has a clinical practice in North County San Diego with a focus on empowering people and their health through nutrition, lifestyle and herbal medicine.

Susan E., CCMH 
Susan is a Certified Clinical Master Herbalist and also holds a BA from the University of California - Berkeley. After a successful career in business, Susan transitioned to the field of holistic health after recognizing the need for an integrative approach to health and wellness. Susan believes we need to empower ourselves through education of both conventional and alternative medicine to treat and heal the whole body--not just the symptoms. She will work with you to discover appropriate therapeutic approaches and disciplines to achieve optimal health and healing.

Janel S., Esthetician
Janel completed her esthetics training at the Bellus Academy of Beauty and Spa. She also attended the makeup artistry program for certification. She has previously worked as a freelance artist for weddings and other special events. 

Lauren M., Esthetician
Lauren is a licensed esthetician with a special interest in anti-aging skin care, organic skin care and makeup. As a former travel agent, she is passionate about traveling, and she is also active in the American Cancer Society’s Look Good…Feel Better program that helps women cancer patients improve their appearance and self image by teaching them hands on beauty techniques.

Alie M., Esthetician
Originally from Russia, Alie is a licensed skin care therapist with more than eight years of experience and a passion for living holistically. She believes that beauty starts on the inside and is expressed outwardly by nurturing your body with the right nutrition and matching it with a skin care routine that consists of natural products with clean ingredients to create a naturally healthy glow.
