Thomas Welch, Pharm.D., Pharmacy Manager
Tom has been a pharmacist for nearly four years, starting at Pharmaca in June of 2012. He performed his undergraduate schooling at the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse, followed by research work in sickle cell disease for four years before attending pharmacy school at the University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy where he earned his Pharm.D. He has a passion for helping patients with HIV/AIDS as well as Ambulatory Care Patients.

Matthew B., Lead Practitioner
Matthew is an experienced herbalist with expertise in both Chinese and Western medicine. For many years, he was on the core faculty of the Rocky Mountain Center for Botanical Studies where he specialized in the instruction of herbal therapeutics. Matthew has also taught hundreds of classes on all aspects of natural medicine and nutrition.

Cheryl G., Naturopathic Doctor
Cheryl’s background includes biochemical research at the University of Colorado and a naturopathic medical degree from Bastyr University. She also has a private clinical practice in classical homeopathy. During her five years at Pharmaca, she has enjoyed meeting many extraordinary people and helping them find answers to their unique health mysteries.

Brigitte M., Herbalist
Brigitte has been working with natural medicine for more than 37 years. She teaches at Naropa University, Boulder College of Massage, Bauman College of Nutrition, Omega Institute and Esalen. She has authored 12 books including Rawsome!, The Desktop Guide to Herbal Medicine, Addiction Free Naturally and Healing Herbal Teas. Her weekly radio show is called “Naturally” and she’s been featured on NBC Dateline.

Jen H., Nutrition Educator, Assistant Manager
Jen attended Bauman College of Holistic Nutrition and Culinary Arts to become a nutrition educator. She thrives on helping people make healthier choices. When she is not at Pharmaca, she is creating nutritious culinary beauty or enjoying one of the many beautiful trails in and around Boulder biking, backpacking or camping.

For the last 7 years Tristan has immersed himself in the study of health and nutrition. His educational background includes a Master’s Degree in Nutrition, training in Herbal Medicine, and certification in Functional Diagnostic Nutrition. Ryan P., LAc, MSOM
Ryan studied Traditional Chinese Medicine for four years while attending Southwest Acupuncture College in Boulder, Colo. He graduated with a Masters of Science in Oriental Medicine (MSOM) in 2007. His education includes 3,000 hours of class instruction, as well as more than 2,000 hours of clinical practice. After graduation, Ryan traveled to Beijing, China to further his knowledge of Chinese Medicine and culture. He has a great deal of clinical experience working with the elderly, chronic back and neck problems, insomnia, weight loss, thyroid disorders, and autoimmune diseases. Besides the practice and study of Traditional Medicine, Ryan also enjoys hiking, biking, music, and the Colorado outdoors.

Mindy G., Herbalist, Esthetician
Mindy has more than 30 years of experience working in the natural products industry, with skills as an herbalist, esthetician, educator, author, aromatherapist and researcher. She’s a professional member of the American Herbalists Guild, registered aromatherapist and certified wellness coach.

Camille C., Esthetician
Camille became a licensed esthetician in 2000 and has since worked in the field of skin care in many ways, including as a credentialed national trainer in the spa industry. She enjoys working at Pharmaca because it gives her the opportunity to work with supplementation, internal nurturance and topical application of skin care to achieve maximum benefits.
