Alan brings more than 20 years of experience to Pharmaca. He earned his degree in Pharmacy from the University of Colorado - Boulder in 1992. He interned and rose in ranks of pharmacist and pharmacy manager during his 14-year tenure at King Soopers. He also has worked many years in a hospital setting. He is Geriatric and Immunization Administration Certified, as well as CPR and BLS certified. He is also a consultant with Colorado State Medicaid. Alan loves to interact with all people.
Anne is a graduate of the University of Kansas School of Pharmacy and has practiced community pharmacy for 12 years. Since relocating to Colorado two years ago, she trained in prescription compounding at Professional Compounding Centers of America (PCCA) and enjoys using her pharmaceutical knowledge and creativity to work with patients and providers to solve their unique medication challenges. Bioidentical hormone therapy replacement is a primary interest, and she is excited to collaborate with other Pharmaca practitioners in the integrative medicine field.
Andrea is a graduate of the University of Washington and has been a community pharmacist for seven years. She received training in compounding in school and through the PCCA program for students. She is excited about bioidentical hormone replacement therapy and the integrative approach to health at Pharmaca.
Julie is a certified herbalist and holds a Master's degree in nutrition from the University of Bridgeport in Connecticut. She has been involved in the field of nutrition for 20 years, having started work in a conservative hospital setting as a registered dietitian. Upon completion of her herbal certification she began her career in complementary health and worked for years in research and development for a professional line of nutrition supplements. She has instructed many online nutrition classes and has continued a private practice throughout her career. Her business, The Gluten Free Bistro, is the culmination of years of nutrition experience and living gluten-free combined with a genuine desire to provide a nutritious product for the celiac and gluten-intolerant communities.
Laeh, a native Coloradoan, has more than 10 years of experience in the traditional Western and alternative Eastern medical fields. After earning her certifications as a master herbalist and nutritional consultant from the International School of Esthetics, she ran a successful private practice in alternative medicine, herbalism and nutritional counseling in Denver, Colo. Now a resident of Lyons, Colorado, she hopes to aid her community and customers in making informed choices in alternative health care for a happier, healthier life.
Cindy has a BS in Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Nebraska. She brings eight years of experience as a nutritionist and health foods manager to Pharmaca. She also spent a year as a contact lens technician and optician in Nebraska before her recent move to Colorado. Cindy enjoys listening to people and helping them make healthy choices to improve their lifestyle. She is also passionate about bicycling, hiking and nature!
Megan earned her certificate at the Rocky Mountain Center for Botanical Studies. Her interest in plants as medicine was handed down to her by her gardening grandfather. She has spent her 16 years in Boulder as a florist, nanny and organic gardener.
Shannon holds a CO license in Esthetics and has worked in the skin care industry in Arizona and California. She has 15 years' experience in various positions, including Regional Makeup Artist in San Francisco. Shannon has a passion for bringing out the best in her clients. She has vast amounts of information on up-to-the-minute skin care trends. She believes that beauty begins with a healthy body. She loves yoga, hiking and nature.
