Alan H., R.Ph., Pharmacy Manager
Alan brings more than 20 years of experience to Pharmaca. He earned his degree in Pharmacy from the University of Colorado - Boulder in 1992. He interned and rose in ranks of pharmacist and pharmacy manager during his 14-year tenure at King Soopers. He also has worked many years in a hospital setting. He is Geriatric and Immunization Administration Certified, as well as CPR and BLS certified. He is also a consultant with Colorado State Medicaid. Alan loves to interact with all people.

Anne K., R.Ph. 
Anne is a graduate of the University of Kansas School of Pharmacy and has practiced community pharmacy for 12 years. Since relocating to Colorado two years ago, she trained in prescription compounding at Professional Compounding Centers of America (PCCA) and enjoys using her pharmaceutical knowledge and creativity to work with patients and providers to solve their unique medication challenges. Bioidentical hormone therapy replacement is a primary interest, and she is excited to collaborate with other Pharmaca practitioners in the integrative medicine field.

Andrea S., Pharm.D. 
Andrea is a graduate of the University of Washington and has been a community pharmacist for seven years. She received training in compounding in school and through the PCCA program for students. She is excited about bioidentical hormone replacement therapy and the integrative approach to health at Pharmaca.

Helen G., Herbalist and Naturopath
Helen graduated from the College of Naturopathic Medicine (Ireland and UK) as a certified Herbalist and Naturopathic Practitioner. She has expertise in Western Herbal Medicine as well as Traditional Chinese Medicine and Ayurvedic practices. She also received certification in Chinese Herbal Medicine from Guangzhou University Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, China. As a naturopathic practitioner she is trained in nutrition, acute homeopathy, flower essences, tissue salts, Iridology and many other naturopathic techniques. A native of Ireland, Helen grew up with a deep curiosity and passion for the many tools nature has provided to assist mankind in achieving complete wellbeing and is keen to share her knowledge and experience with others.

Julie M., MS, RD, Lead Practitioner
Julie is a certified herbalist and holds a Master’s degree in nutrition from the University of Bridgeport in Connecticut. She has been involved in the field of nutrition for 20 years, having started work in a conservative hospital setting as a registered dietitian. Upon completion of her herbal certification she began her career in complementary health and worked for years in research and development for a professional line of nutrition supplements. She has instructed many online nutrition classes and has continued a private practice throughout her career. Her business, The Gluten Free Bistro, is the culmination of years of nutrition experience and living gluten-free combined with a genuine desire to provide a nutritious product for the celiac and gluten-intolerant communities.

Marisa B., Herbalist, Store Manager
Marisa graduated from the North American Institute of Medical Herbalism as a certified clinical herbalist and certified clinical nutritionist. In her free time, she continues her studies of various medicinal herbs that aid in health and healing. With her extensive background in education, she enjoys teaching families, children and community members about the benefits of a healthy diet, supplements and the healing power of herbs.

Linda L., DOM
Linda is a Doctor of Oriental Medicine and has been in practice since 1997. She is nationally certified and state licensed (CO, CA, AZ, NM) in both Herbal Medicine and Acupuncture. Linda received her Bachelor’s in Biochemistry/Nutrition, and is also a Licensed Massage Therapist. Linda brings more than 30 years experience to Pharmaca and is very excited to be part of a team committed and dedicated to providing guidance and coaching to customers on their journey to health and wellness.

Pam U., Herbalist
Pam was educated in herbal medicine at the Rocky Mountain Center of Botanical Studies. She was also certified in Ayurvedic medicine as a "Perfect Health" practitioner from the Chopra Center and can help suggest lifestyle changes for different body constitutions. Along with her passion for natural healing, Pam does graphic design, paints mandalas, practices yoga, and loves to travel. She enjoys sharing personal experiences and uses her strong intuition to help people with their healing process.

Serena R., Wellness Counselor
Serena enjoys working with customers to harmonize complementary remedies with individual needs. She has certificates in nutrition, body care, herbalism, Bach Flower Remedies, and Usui-Tibetan Reiki, and has studied aromatherapy. She is continuing her studies toward an Associate's Degree in Complementary and Alternative Medicine with the American College of Health Sciences, and will begin a 200-hour teacher training through RMIYA this winter.

Laeh Benyamin, MH, CNC
Laeh, a native Coloradoan, has more than 10 years of experience in the traditional Western and alternative Eastern medical fields. After earning her certifications as a master herbalist and nutritional consultant from the International School of Esthetics, she ran a successful private practice in alternative medicine, herbalism and nutritional counseling in Denver, Colo. Now a resident of Lyons, Colorado, she hopes to aid her community and customers in making informed choices in alternative health care for a happier, healthier life.

Marcia T., RN
Marcia has worked as a Registered Nurse in the Houston Medical Center as well as in Austin. She received a Masters in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from the Academy of Oriental Medicine at Austin in 2005, along with a National Certification. She has had extensive education with bioidentical hormone testing, interpretation and application, as well as hair mineral analysis. Marcia received an Applied Clinical Nutrition Certification through Standard Process. The last three years have been spent learning and practicing Functional Blood Chemistry. Marcia enjoys giving back and while in Austin volunteered as Mission Coordinator for more than 10 years with Austin Smiles, a non-profit group that provides cleft lip and cleft palate reconstructive surgery to thousands of children in El Salvador and Mexico who would otherwise go untreated. She is currently on the Board of Directors for the Nederland Area Seniors and is looking forward to meeting many more of the great people of Boulder.

Federica R., Esthetician
Federica has been very passionate about studying and working in the field of holistic health and holistic skin care for more than 20 years. Internationally trained as an esthetician and massage therapist, she also graduated from the North American Institute of Medical Herbalism as a certified clinical herbalist and certified clinical nutritionist. She is a graduate of Bauman College’s natural chef program. She is now available again for consultation in our Boulder stores.
