Farnoosh Farhidme

Farnoosh F., Pharm.D., Los Angeles- Brentwood
Farnoosh comes to the Brentwood Pharmaca after having joined the company in June of 2007. She previously worked in chain retail pharmacy and performed pharmaceutical research involving pain management and thyroid conditions. She has received additional training in pharmacognosy, the study of medicines from herbal sources. Farnoosh has also served as an auditor of pharmaceutical company manufacturing practices and has published papers in medical journals.  

Cynthia S., Pharm.D., Los Gatos
Cynthia is a California native and received her Doctorate of Pharmacy from the University of Southern California. Since her teen years she has been employed in a variety of pharmaceutical settings and now has 33 years of pharmacy experience. She has fulfilled her dream of owning and operating a holistic pharmacy, and here at Pharmaca she is continuing her passion for integrative medicine, treating customers like family and offering personalized assistance in meeting customers' wellness goals. For her own personal and professional growth, she would like to practice Ayurvedic medicine in the future!

Melissa M

Melissa M., Pharm.D., Monterey
Melissa brings a diverse background to Pharmaca with experience in compounding, clinical pediatrics and medication safety. Melissa received her Doctorate of Pharmacy from UC - San Francisco and completed a specialty residency in pediatrics at Rady Children's Hospital in San Diego. Melissa's current passion is learning more about an integrative approach to health and wellness and sharing that approach with her customers!

 Thomas W

Thomas W., North Boulder
Tom has been a pharmacist for nearly four years, starting at Pharmaca in June of 2012. He performed his undergraduate schooling at the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse, followed by research work in sickle cell disease for four years before attending pharmacy school at the University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy where he earned his Pharm.D. He has a passion for helping patients with HIV/AIDS as well as Ambulatory Care Patients.

Anne Friar

Anne F., Pharm.D., Albuquerque
Anne earned her B.S. degree in biology from the University of Arizona and her Pharm.D. from the University of New Mexico. She grew up in Los Alamos, NM, and has lived in Albuquerque for 14 years. Anne enjoys helping customers with all of their pharmacy and health care needs.

Stephanie R

Karl R., R.Ph, Santa Fe
Karl graduated from the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science, where he was on the Deans' List, and has completed compounding training at the Professional Compounding Centers of America (PCCA). He has more than 20 years of experience in clinical pharmacy, home infusion and retail pharmacy. He is a registered immunizer and enjoys travel medicine. Karl is an avid skier and mountain biker.

Vicky C., R.Ph, Seattle-Wallingford
Vicky earned her B.Sc. at the University of British Columbia, Canada, before moving to Seattle to begin her career. Vicky has had more than 10 years of community pharmacy experience, during which time she has also focused on developing pharmacy immunization programs. Since joining Pharmaca, Vicky has also acquired an avid interest in compounding, BHRT and complementary medicine, allowing her to help patients achieve their health goals using a more holistic approach.

Armand P

Armand P., R.Ph, Downtown Boulder
Armand is a graduate of the University of Colorado and has been a community pharmacist for 27 years. He worked in a compounding laboratory during school and continued in a retail practice, and especially enjoys working with bio-identical hormone replacement therapy.

Yin Z

Yin Z., Pharmacy Manager, Mill Valley


Smita S., R.Ph, San Francisco
Smita is a graduate of Northeastern University in Boston, MA and has been practicing pharmacy for nearly 10 years. At Pharmaca, she's expanded her focus to compounding medications as well as advising on alternative treatments that can be taken in conjunction with prescriptions. Her alternative medication training has largely focused on Ayurvedic practices, but since joining Pharmaca in 2002, it has expanded to homeopathy and other herbal remedies. She is also an on-going educator for pharmacy students at local universities and often works together with local practitioners on bioidentical hormone replacement therapy.


Angela D., Pharm.D., Pacific Palisades
Angela received her undergraduate degree from UCLA, and her Doctorate of Pharmacy from U.S.C. She brings more than 15 years of independent pharmacy experience to Pharmaca. She has informally studied and has personally used alternative medicine for years and has a passion regarding the use of integrative medicine. Her favorite part of practicing pharmacy is the daily interactions with her patients and relationships that develop.

James B

James Bui, R.Ph, Portland
James earned his Bachelors of Pharmacy in 1999 from Oregon State University, and was previously a pharmacy manager at Pharmaca between 2002-2005. James has worked for Kaiser Permanente, owned a pharmacist relief agency and also helped in consulting with pharmacy operations with variety of pharmacy settings (retail, long-term, mail-order). Most recently James attended the National College of Naturopathic Medicine in naturopathic studies. James is very interested in both compounding and natural healing combined with nutrition and exercise.

Alan H Alan Ham, R.Ph, Boulder - Table Mesa
Alan brings more than 20 years of experience to Pharmaca. He earned his degree in Pharmacy from the University of Colorado - Boulder in 1992. He interned and rose in ranks of pharmacist and pharmacy manager during his 14-year tenure at King Soopers. He also has worked many years in a hospital setting. He is Geriatric and Immunization Administration Certified, as well as CPR and BLS certified. He is also a consultant with Colorado State Medicaid. Alan loves to interact with all people.

Sheila G., Seattle - Madison Park
Sheila has been practicing pharmacy in the community setting for more than five years. She received her Doctorate of Pharmacy from Samford University in Birmingham, Alab. She is passionate about patient education on disease states, over-the-counter drugs and using supplements harmoniously with prescription medications. After relocating to the Seattle area in 2010, Sheila discovered her passion for leading and mentoring her fellow pharmacy team members and pursued a manager position in 2011. As a manager, her goal is to foster an environment of professionalism and compassion with her patients and pharmacy team.


Mark James, R.Ph, Napa
Mark graduated from Duquesne University School of Pharmacy in 1977, and has 35 years experience in pharmacy. He worked in hospital pharmacy for 17 years and, more recently, worked for Rite Aid before joining Pharmaca in Napa.


Aman G., M.S., B.S Pharmacy, Sonoma
Aman earned his M.S. degree from St. John's, New York and his B.S. Pharmacy from MDU, Rohtak (India). He grew up in India and has had first hand experience with herbal and Ayurvedic medicines. He worked in a compounding laboratory during school and continued in a retail practice. He has worked for Rite Aid for more than 5 years before joining Pharmaca in Sonoma. He enjoys helping customers with all of their short-term health care needs as well as passionately shares tips for their natural healing and long-term care.


Momo M., R.Ph., Novato
Momo received her Doctorate of Pharmacy from the University of Southern Nevada in Henderson. She joined the Novato Pharmaca team in August of 2011. Momo is passionate about working in an environment that offers both pharmacy services and complementary treatments and enjoys the personalized approach that Pharmaca offers to all of its customers.


John R., Pharm.D., La Jolla
John received his doctorate in pharmacy from the University of California -San Francisco, and he has worked in community pharmacy for seven years. John has a diverse background that includes teaching, research and publication, and lobbying for health care reform in Washington, D.C. However, he is most passionate about integrative community pharmacy and the people he touches on a daily basis


Jill D., B.S. Pharm., Oakland
Jill has practiced pharmacy in a community setting for more than 20 years. She received her degree in pharmacy from the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill before moving to California. She has worked as both a pharmacy manager and as a staff pharmacist in local retail settings. Her most recent experience includes a focus on treatment of immuno-compromised patients. Jill is excited to join the staff at Pharmaca and broaden her knowledge in integrative care.


Cam T., R.Ph, Redmond
Cam received his degree at the University of Alberta in 1999. During his professional career Cam has acquired extensive experience and expertise in immunizations, long-term care and compounding. His knowledge in pharmaceuticals and medications allows him to provide his patients with in-depth information and counseling. He takes pride in being a pharmacist and all that the profession entails. He feels fortunate to be at Pharmaca where he can use all of his skills to help his patients on a daily basis. 


Alina K., Pharm.D., Menlo Park
Alina received her Doctorate in Pharmacy at the State University of New York - Buffalo, where she was also awarded the Eli Lilly Achievement Award for Ethics, Scholarship and Leadership, and recognized in Pharmacy Times magazine for receiving the national RESPy Award. Alina's pharmacy experience includes both community and hospital settings. She has also received training at the United States Pharmacopeia and the Food & Drug Administration and has training in medication therapy management, immunizations and diabetes education. As a health practitioner, Alina is devoted to a holistic approach to wellness and enjoys working closely with patients combining her expertise in alternative, traditional and compounded medicines.


Sara M., Pharm.D., Carlsbad
Originally from Chicago, Sara received her Doctorate of Pharmacy from Midwestern University in Downers Grove, Ill. She brings six years of independent pharmacy experience to Pharmaca, and enjoys the small town atmosphere and getting to know her patients. She has an interest in alternative medicine and loves the idea of integrative wellness.
