Spa Day events shed new light on beauty
Sampling and education highlight the natural side of skin care and Natural Beauty Glossary terms are defined

Boulder, Colo. (April 25, 2006) - Pharmaca Integrative Pharmacy, a chain of 10 pharmacies nationwide, is pleased to announce its Spa Day schedule for 2006. These informational yet fun events offer customers the chance to try out new products, receive discounts on top-selling cosmetics, and learn from estheticians and other skin experts.

The first 100 customers to each Spa Day event will receive a beauty bag of products worth over $15. In addition, customers can experience mini-facials from several exquisite spa skin care lines, including Sanitas Gourmet Skin Food and Astara Conscious Skincare. Estheticians will offer application tips, detailed information on cosmetic ingredient concerns, and will highlight the newest cosmetics, nail polishes, lotions, exfoliation products and more.

As consumers nationwide switch from conventional to natural and organic foods, so are consumers becoming more aware of what they choose to put on their bodies. Because the skin is the body's largest organ, it only makes sense to evaluate the ingredients in commonly used personal care products. The attached "Natural Beauty: Glossary of Terms" highlights and defines the most important terms.

Pharmaca is reinventing the notion of pharmacy, right down to the beauty section. Forget messy displays and discount bins of nail polish; the Pharmaca beauty department features top brands displayed in upscale, natural wood settings. Estheticians are on staff to make recommendations for specific skin types, to educate consumers about skin care from the inside out, and to advise customers on which products are made with natural and organic ingredients.
