Pharmaca Integrative Pharmacy merges pharmacy and retail operations under the leadership of Steve Davis


BOULDER, Colo. (April 24, 2008) – Pharmaca Integrative Pharmacy Inc., the first integrative pharmacy chain in the U.S., announced the promotion of seasoned leader Steve Davis to the newly created position of senior vice president of merchandising, sales and operations. Davis will now be responsible for the direction, control and coordination of all merchandising activities and pharmacy operations.

Davis was promoted from the position of vice president of merchandising and retail sales. He has more than 25 years of experience in the food, drug and natural foods industry and is deeply rooted in retailing, both conventional and natural.

Before joining Pharmaca in June 2007, Davis was employed as vice president of holistic health at Wild Oats Market. During his tenure, Davis implemented a new holistic health concept that marketed supplements, body and beauty care, and general merchandise on the platform of education. He also developed a new store prototype that revolutionized the company’s go-to-market strategy within the natural foods channel.

Throughout his accomplished career, Davis has excelled in top management positions at organizations including Giant Food Stores Inc., Tops Markets Inc., and Finast Supermarkets Inc. He holds a B.S. in business administration and marketing from Illinois State University and completed an MBA curriculum at Babson College, Wellesley, Mass.
